Barnsgate Manor Craft Fair – Upcoming Dates

With our recent success of the Barnsgate Manor Craft Fair. We are very happy to announce the next confirmed date of our craft fair

There was a huge array of beautifully hand-crafted items available from local craftspeople. We were able to open up both our Ashdown Restaurant and the Museum for the number of stall-holders, which gave the browsers plenty to look through and plenty to buy!

It was a great atmosphere and we are so lucky to have the setting that we do. Although slightly overcast, the weather held up okay which meant browsers could also enjoy the views and the various animals we look after here at Barnsgate, as well as also being able to enjoy a spot of lunch. It happened to be a perfect day out for many!

We’re hoping to make the next one even more successful. With extensive marketing for the event, we’re looking to attract more stall-holders and more visitors so that everyone can enjoy a vibrant and exciting day out.

The next confirmed date of our craft fair is:

  • Sunday 5th November 2017

If you would be interested in holding a stall, please do give us a call on 01825 713366 or e-mail us at Alternatively, you can contact us through our website following our link here.

Please help spread the word by sharing this post! Your support would mean a lot. The more people that know about the event, the better the day will be!

Ideal Light Bites for any Occasion – Canopé Ideas

These light bites are quick and easy, perfect for any occasion!

We hosted another wonderful wedding last Saturday for Emma and Aaron. Congratulations to the both of you! We wish you a life of love and happiness together! It was a lovely set-up. Here are some of the pictures we got of the day:

Before the guests got started, we had some canopés for people to enjoy. They are the perfect party food. Full of taste and light enough to not spoil your meal (depending on how many you eat of course!). I wanted to share our recipes for three different canopés we had on offer.

The amounts vary depending on how many guests you have.

To make the croutè, we cut some discs out of white and brown slices of bread with a round cake cutter and toasted until crisp. The cheese croutès had a pinch of grated cheddar on top before toasting.

22/04/2017 – RAF Air Cadets Annual Meal

It was a pleasure to host the RAF Air Cadets for their annual meal at Barnsgate Manor

A lot of effort went into the presentation of our Ashdown Restaurant function suite. Throughout the day members were hanging banners, arranging tables and making sure it was going to be a night to remember.

IMG_1631[1]Guests were able to mingle in our function suite as well as on our balcony while enjoying the views of the south downs (due to the weather being permitting of course!) before sitting down to a three-course meal from a set menu prepared for the evening.

The RAF Air Cadets do a lot of work to support the Royal Air Forces Association which is a charity set up to support families of RAF members through every stage of their life. They provide help by participating in exhibitions, helping less mobile, older members and joining in line ups at formal parades to point out a few examples.

Their work is valued and appreciated. The RAF offers two awards for their participation. Flying Scholarships and their rafa YOUTH Cyprus Award to help further their career opportunities within the RAF. I feel this highlights what a wonderful organisation the RAF Air Cadets really is. IMG_1630[1]

You can find more information on the RAF Air Cadets here:         Crowborough Squadron 1414

We hope you enjoyed your evening with us. It was a pleasure to be your host and we hope to see you again soon!
